
Do you offer counselling in English? Yes all sessions are in English for expats, international professionals and English speaking residents across the Lake Geneva area including Lausanne, Nyon, Geneva and surrounding areas.
Where are you based? Lindsey Anderson Counselling is based in the village of Gingins, about 10 minutes by car and 20 minutes by bus from Nyon.
Do you see clients from Geneva and other parts of Switzerland? Yes I do. I offer online and face to face services so I can talk to you wherever you are in Switzerland or globally.
Do you work with expats? Yes I do. I work with expat individuals from 16-75+ years.
What issues do you help with? I work across a wide range of issues including; anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, grief, loneliness, separation, divorce, relationship breakups, menopause, life transitions and expat adjustment
Are you covered by Swiss insurance? I am covered by most international insurances but if you have a Swiss insurance you need to check with them as some will only cover Swiss Federally approved therapists.
How much is a session? A session is 125chf for the hour or 150chf for 90 minutes.
Do you accept TWINT? Yes I accept TWINT, cash or a bank transfer on the day of the session.
Do you have appointments in the evening and at weekends? I offer evening appointments Monday -Friday from 5-7pm and on Saturday morning 10-12midday. Weekday appointments are available throughout the day on Thursdays and Friday 9am-7pm.
How long do I need to wait to get an appointment? Usually I can give you an appointment within a few days to one week from your initial enquiry.
Do I need to have a doctors prescription before having a session/s? If you want to claim for reimbursement most insurance companies will ask for a prescription from your doctor. If you are not going to claim, you do not need a prescription.
Do you offer counselling in English for peri/menopuase? Yes I do. Being a therapist, working mum of teen and young adult children, in a relationship and post menopause, I take a particular interest in helping other women navigate this time of life.
Can counselling help during menopause? Yes counselling can help support you through the physical and emotional changes of menopause. Counselling will give you a space to be able to talk and express your emotions freely so you can better understand the life change. Menopause is also a time to reflect, reassess priorities and reconnect with yourself as you go through this change.
